XanhMoto (“we”) is committed to protecting the privacy and personal data of our customers (“you”). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, protect and share personal information when you use XanhMoto's website, application and electric scooter rental services.

Data minimisation principle: XanhMoto only collects information that is genuinely necessary to provide the service. We do not collect financial information (card numbers, bank accounts) directly on our system.
3. Purposes of Use
Your personal information is used for the following purposes:
- Providing the service: Processing bookings, verifying identity, handing over vehicles, technical support throughout the rental.
- Communication: Sending booking status updates, pickup/return reminders and urgent information by email and SMS.
- Safety: Using GPS to help locate the vehicle, handle incidents and recover property when necessary.
- Service improvement: Analysing anonymised data to improve service quality and the website experience.
- Legal: Complying with legal obligations and cooperating with the authorities when lawfully requested.
We do not use personal information for third-party advertising or sell data in any form.
4. Legal Basis for Data Processing
We process personal data on the following legal bases:
- Performance of contract: Processing the information needed to provide the rental service under the contract between both parties.
- Consent: You agree to provide information when booking on the website.
- Legitimate interests: Protecting property (GPS tracking) and preventing fraud.
- Legal obligations: Complying with record-keeping requirements under Vietnamese law.
5. Storage and Retention

After the retention period, data is permanently deleted or anonymised so that it cannot be traced back to an individual.
6. Security Measures
XanhMoto applies appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal data:
- Encryption: All data is transmitted over HTTPS/TLS. Sensitive data is encrypted at rest.
- Access control: Only authorised and trained staff may access personal data, with role-based access control.
- Infrastructure: Data is stored on secure servers with monitoring and regular backups.
- Incident response: In the event of a data leak, XanhMoto will notify affected customers within 72 hours and cooperate with the authorities to handle it.
7. Sharing Information with Third Parties
XanhMoto commits not to sell, trade or rent personal data to any third party. Information is only shared in the following cases:

XanhMoto's electric scooter rental service is for people aged 16 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal data of children under 16. If we discover that we have unintentionally collected a child's information, we will delete it immediately and notify the parent/guardian.
For customers aged 16 to 18, we encourage obtaining the consent of a parent or legal guardian when providing personal information.
11. Policy Changes
XanhMoto may update this privacy policy at any time. Important changes will be announced via:
- A notice on the website (banner or popup).
- An email to registered customers.
The current version is always published on this page, with the update date shown at the top. Continuing to use the service after the policy is updated means you accept those changes.
