Can I rent a scooter without a motorbike driving licence?
Yes. The VinFast Evo MAX Lite has a maximum speed of 49 km/h (under the 50 km/h limit), is for people aged 16 and over, and does not require an A1 licence under current rules. You only need to show your ID card or passport for a quick 30-second check.
How are battery swaps or charging costs calculated?
Battery swaps are completely free. Each battery gets up to 3 free swaps per day at V-GREEN cabinet stations covered by the service (up to 6 swaps/day for 2-battery bikes). You don't pay for charging or petrol during your trip.
Besides the rental price, do I need to leave a deposit or pay extra fees?
No. XanhMoto does not require a security deposit and does not hold original IDs. The listed price includes 2 helmets, raincoats, a phone holder, and free battery swapping at stations.
What happens if the bike is scratched or damaged in a fall?
Minor hairline scratches from normal riding are free under the natural wear policy. If a part cracks or breaks in a fall, XanhMoto charges parts at VinFast's publicly listed price and adds no repair labor. You can also choose a Damage Waiver Plan from 30,000 VND/day for more peace of mind.
Is doorstep delivery to hotels in Da Nang free?
Doorstep delivery is free within a 5km radius for rentals of 2 days or more. 1-day rentals incur a 50,000 VND delivery fee. Bikes are delivered directly to your hotel or homestay lobby.
What is the fee if I return the vehicle later than scheduled?
XanhMoto charges flexibly by actual hours for your convenience: the first hour late is free; from the 2nd to the 8th hour, 20,000 VND/hour (e.g. 1 hour 15 minutes late is charged as 1 hour); more than 8 hours counts as 1 new rental day at the listed price.
Are there discounts for longer rentals or monthly rentals?
Yes. Rentals of 3 days or more receive automatic tiered daily discounts. Monthly rentals save up to 60% compared to daily rates, with a genuine home charger, routine maintenance, and battery swaps included.
Why do XanhMoto scooters go 50 to 60 km per battery when some places advertise over 100 km?
Because they are two different kinds of scooter. The ones advertised at over 100 km usually have a fixed battery that takes 7 to 8 hours to charge and has to be plugged in overnight; if it runs flat on the road your only options are to wait for a charge or go back to the shop. XanhMoto only rents the removable battery type that you swap at a cabinet: each battery covers 50 to 60 km, but when it runs low you stop at a cabinet and swap in a full one in about a minute, like stopping for fuel. Da Nang and Hoi An currently have more than 300 cabinets running 24/7. Swapping is already included in the rental price, with 3 free swaps per battery per day, which works out to 200 to 300 km a day.
Why is renting at XanhMoto more expensive than at some other places?
The difference is in things you can check. The whole fleet uses removable batteries swapped at cabinets, with no older fixed battery scooters. Scooters are serviced according to the odometer rather than waiting for something to break, and are replaced once they reach the mileage and age limits in XanhMoto policy, instead of being kept on the road until they are worn out. Helmets are cleaned and replaced on a regular cycle. XanhMoto chooses to protect quality rather than compete on price.
