Do I need to pay a deposit to rent an electric scooter in Da Nang?

Accepted Answer

Daily rental: No deposit required, no need to leave original documents. Just take a photo of your ID and sign the digital contract.
Long-term rental (monthly): A deposit is required as agreed, refundable at contract end after vehicle inspection.

Do I need a driver's license to rent a VinFast electric scooter?

Accepted Answer

Electric scooters under 50cc do not require a driver's license under Vietnamese law. You only need your ID/Passport.
However, we recommend having riding experience for your safety in traffic.

Question 3

Where can I charge the electric scooter and how long does it take?

Accepted Answer

VinFast scooters use the VinFast battery swap station network across Da Nang — it takes only 1-2 minutes to swap a full battery. Completely free during your rental period.
You can also charge at your hotel using a regular outlet, which takes about 6-8 hours for a full charge.

What happens if the scooter breaks down or runs out of battery?

Accepted Answer

During your trip, if the vehicle experiences a technical failure, we will provide a free replacement. Please note that we do not offer vehicle replacements for external issues such as flat tires or punctures.

However, customers who purchase the Protection Package enjoy extended coverage: You will receive an on-site replacement vehicle for any incident, including flat tires.

Question 5

What is the late return policy?

Accepted Answer

Less than 1 hour late: Free, no extra charge.
1 hour or more: Surcharge of 15,000 VND/hour.
More than 9 hours: Counts as a new rental day at the corresponding daily rate.
We encourage you to notify us in advance if you need to extend your rental.

Long-term rental starts from just 1,500,000 VND/month — significant savings compared to daily rental.
Includes: free battery swaps, regular maintenance, 24/7 technical support.
Flexible contracts from 1 month, easily extendable.
Perfect for students, workers, and long-stay travelers.

How far can an electric scooter go on a single charge?

Accepted Answer

Depending on the model, average range:
• VinFast Evo: 60-80 km/charge
• VinFast Feliz: 80-100 km/charge
Actual range depends on speed, terrain and load. Enough to explore Da Nang, Hoi An and nearby attractions in a day.

Question 8

What documents do I need to bring when picking up the scooter?

Accepted Answer

You only need one of the following:
• National ID card (CCCD) — for Vietnamese customers
• Passport — for international customers
We only take photos of your documents for records, we don't keep originals. The pickup process is quick, taking only 3-5 minutes.
